Kate Simmons is an artist and educator living and working in Clackamas, Oregon. Her work includes sculpture and drawing and often comments of domesticity and elements inspired by the natural world. Simmons received her BFA from Marylhurst University and MFA from Portland State University. Her work has been exhibited in both regional and local galleries and museums including Maryhill Museum in Washington and Coos Art Museum in Coos Bay, Oregon. Simmons' work has been supported by the Regional Arts and Culture Council of Portland, Oregon and included in, “Art For Everyone,” an art history text book published by Chemeketa Community College.
